Venice. The courtyard of the Doge’s Palace, facing the San Marco Basilica. It was such a hot – over 95 degrees – day with humidity soaring. But we were determined to see St. Mark’s Square. We just couldn’t leave Venice without it. I was lucky to be able to get this shot as the square itself was wall to wall people.  Next time I visit Venice, it will not be in the summer months…. this was early June.
